Colorado 2004
This was the trip we learned just how devistating rain can be. As soon as we hit Denver the sky let go on us with an ice cold downpour. We cut through the freezing water for about an hour and a half before finally reaching Dillion and the warmth of our Condo. Although that would not compare to traveling down a mountain with no visibility as sleet salted the roads in front of us two days later.
The scenery the Rockies provide are second to none. Despite the constant rain, we did get in some good riding. We found that plastic grocery bags make great shoe liners to keep the feet dry for awhile, and that you can find a way to fit 2 cases of beer and over $100 of groceries onto 4 bikes, even if two of them are sport bikes.
